Our Story

 

Ignite Change Consulting, LLC is a woman-owned organization specifically incorporated to provide training, education and consultation related to public safety and behavioral health needs. The organization's partners, Tarah "Nichole" Meyers, LCSW, LAC and Kristina Daniel, LPC, LAC, ADS, MBA have extensive experience in providing training, direct services and administration of contracts both private and governmental. Ignite Change Consulting Principals are currently the only Colorado-based approved trainers for Driving With Care® (DWC) and the Interlock Enhancement Counseling® (IEC) curriculum developed by Timken, Nandi & Marques.

Kristina Daniel, LPC, LAC, ADS, MBA has been facilitating large and small group discussions for over ten years and has presented at several state conferences. Kristina is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC.0014621), Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD.0001292), Certified Acudetox Specialist, and has a Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Administration. Kristina has been an executive officer of two companies and has a strong knowledge of contracts and grants at both the state and federal level. Kristina has a strong understanding of technology and has facilitated remote sessions of individual treatment and group presentations. Previously, she was certified to facilitate ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and SAFETALK, both are suicide prevention trainings authored by LivingWorks. Kristina has extensive experience with the Community Mental Health Center System as well as the Criminal Justice System in Colorado. She is extremely familiar with the behavioral health resources in the State of Colorado and is an ex-officio member of the Colorado Behavioral Health Task Force Safety Net Committee. Kristina was also appointed to the Caring for Colorado Board of Directors in 2018 by Governor Hickenlooper. She has served on many local boards and task forces and is currently a City Council Member in Alamosa.

Nichole Meyers, LCSW, LAC is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CSW.09925452) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (ACD.0001203) with 9+ years' experience working with clients who have co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. Additionally, Nichole has experience working with various systems that intersect with the behavioral health profession, to include probation, parole, prisons and jails, Departments of Health, Departments of Social Services, hospitals and emergency departments, and other local community agencies. Nichole is currently a Program Director of a large substance use disorder treatment agency in the Denver community and has experience managing agencies who are licensed to provide DUI treatment services. She is an expert in Medication Assisted Treatment. Nichole has presented at conferences, in the community, and is on several committees and workgroups in the Denver metro area community.
